During my time spent with Enjoy Taste LLC. I took home many lessons and tricks to better my career. I would like to share some of these with you…

My Photography around Orlando - Abstract clips on ET Website.
Having started my internship in the beginning of May, my 2 ½ months at Enjoy Taste are coming to a close. I have spent some time these past couple weeks utilizing my vacation days to venture off to NYC! NYC is truly mind-blowing and the adrenaline is what I strive for in a work environment. If I can afford it, I could defiantly see myself working there permanently. I hope to land a paid internship in the city next summer!
While back at the office this week (for my final week!), I was put in charge of creating a logo for an interactive social media site for local bars and customers. This site is a pro bono “twitter-like” blog, requested by a popular nightlife street beneath our office. The site is called Bartillary – Logo Attached.
I have also been given the time to research for my own interest. I am really intrigued by the simplicity of Jquery and thus decided to practice creating slideshow transitions with JavaScript using Jquery. I am learning how to do a fade transition. The fade transition is relatively easy with Jquery, because it has built in functions for the transitions. I have been following tutorials in order to build the proper HTML and CSS shells to place the Jquery code in. I am enjoying how Jquery allows you to build cross-browser solutions without the need of Flash and look just as good.
Check back at the end of the week for my final reflection of my Summer 2010 Internship with Enjoy Taste LLC.
- Very Excited for the new MAC PRO! -
The combination of the holiday, office party and an overload of work for my two summer courses resulted in little work at Enjoy Taste. Therefore, I thought it would be best to combine the past two weeks. The majority of this week was dedicated to designing some internal print work for the company: A fax set and social media report. I also took on the task of researching ways digital agencies are utilizing social media techniques.
Last week, Enjoy Taste turned a leaf from an all over ad agency to a web agency. Their belief is that they can do better work when specializing in the field that they are best at and their customers desire, innovative websites. Ad agencies are suffering as the world continues to turn from magazines and billboards to podcasts and web. Enjoy Taste knows that showcasing what they are ” a small young web agency” will attract the modern client. People want an approachable, affordable and youthful company that will produce strong work. Calling themselves a web agency will also loosen the tension between other Orlando agencies. Ad agencies will often refer their clients to web agencies and web agencies in general often refer their work to eachother when they are overloaded. With this new look, the company is redesigning their collateral.
